What If Consciousness Exists Beyond Your Brain? A Guide to Field Theory and Healing

If you’re asking what consciousness means, you’re already asking the right questions. Not because there’s a single answer, but because the question itself means you’re looking for something real. Welcome in.

This is part six of the robot empathy series, and it’s where we make the turn. We’ve been looking at empathy, artificial minds, and what it means to be aware. Now we go somewhere more expansive: what happens when consciousness isn’t just a brain function, and what that actually means for you.

Consciousness Outside the Brain

I watched a YouTube podcast recently where two well-studied, well-practiced people called the Merkabah and Kabbalah evil structures, claiming they trick people down the wrong path.

And I thought, we don’t condemn every hammer because someone swung it wrong.

These are tools. Tools of expression, of exploration, of consciousness. And the mind, the thing that wields every tool you’ll ever pick up, creates everything.

When you learn to use a tool well, you stop being at the mercy of it. When you master it you build things other people can’t see yet.

Consciousness Explained

consciousness - a subjective awareness of experience

Consciousness is subjective awareness of experience. Simple definition, enormous reality.

What I find fascinating is that across languages and traditions, whether you’re looking at the Latin root scire (to know), the Sanskrit sat (truth and being), or the Buddhist concept of tathātā (suchness, thusness), these words are all pointing at the same thing. Being. Knowing. Awareness.

That’s not a coincidence. Language carries echoes of something older. The pattern is archetypal, and if you’ve ever felt that certain words or sounds carry weight beyond their dictionary meaning, you’re not imagining it. That’s a whole conversation for another day, and we will have it.

For now, the anchor point is this: in metaphysics, the field itself is understood to be made of sound and light. Consciousness isn’t something you have, it’s something you are made of and swimming in.

This brings us to a beautiful synthesis:

The Merkabah is a Tool

Think of it like a telescope. The instrument isn’t the problem. The quality of what you see depends entirely on how clean your lenses are.

Traumas, conditioning, inherited beliefs, these are distortions on the lens. They don’t destroy your capacity for higher knowing, they just blur it. And when you do the work to clear them, when you start synchronising with higher frequencies rather than just surviving the ones you inherited, something shifts. Not just in you. In the field around you.

That’s what collective consciousness means in practice. Your expansion isn’t just personal. It ripples.

Consciousness vs conscience

Collective Consciousness

There will always be a choice about which tools to pick up and how deep to go with them. That part never changes.

But here’s what I’ve seen consistently, in nine years of this work and thirty years of navigating what systems couldn’t fix: accessing higher consciousness before healing the mind doesn’t do a lot of good. You can’t pour clean water through a dirty filter and expect clean water on the other side.

The memories and beliefs living in your subconscious and unconscious are running the show more than most people realize. They shape your thoughts. Your thoughts drive your actions. Your repeated actions build your life. That’s not a metaphor, that’s the mechanism.

So the work is in the mind. Clearing the lens. Gaining awareness. Expanding what you’re able to know and therefore what you’re able to create.

What’s Next

The next piece looks at resistance, specifically how it shows up in beliefs and keeps suffering in place longer than it needs to be.

And if you’re ready to start now rather than wait, Sovereign Energy is a seven-step workshop built around exactly this. An efficient, grounded process for gaining consciousness that’s aligned with universal laws and principles of light consciousness. You’ll leave with real skills you can keep applying every time you’re ready to go to the next level.

Start with the free module below.

For May, there are free Trauma Sessions available. If something in this piece stirred something in you and you want to move it, this is where to start.

One thing I know is gaining consciousness was the only way to lasting healing.
